Before you send your flowers

Flower Drying Instructions

Hang the flowers upside down in a warm, dark, well-ventilated room for two to four weeks. Larger or moisture-rich flowers may take up to one to two months to dry completely.

  1. Remove leaves: Strip excess foliage and leaves from the stems so the blooms dry faster and stay mold-free.
  2. Bundle stems: Group flowers into small bunches of 5 to 10 stems, keeping similar types together.
  3. Tie tightly: Wrap twine, string, or a rubber band firmly around the base of the stems because stems shrink as they dry.
  4. Hang upside down: Clip or hang the bundles from a hook, hanger, or rod away from direct sunlight to help prevent fading.
  5. Wait until fully dry: Do not send the flowers until they are free of dampness or mold. If you are unsure whether they are ready, contact Anyssa before shipping or delivering them.
